I’ve spent over 28 years writing and producing television shows.
I’ve sat in a lot of writers’ rooms, and I’ve read more scripts than I can count.
One thing I’ve learned is this:
The people who make it are the ones who finish things.
They don’t just have “ideas for shows.” They sit down, do the work — breaking story, outlining — and they actually finish scripts.
Even when they’re tired. Even when they think the draft stinks.
That’s the main reason I created the
From Premise to Pilot: 30-Day Challenge
It’s not another information dump. It’s a month-long workshop designed to push you through the same steps we use in a real TV writers’ room, so you can go from:
“I’ve been talking about this pilot for years…”
to:
“I have a full rough draft of my pilot on the page.”
Here’s what we’ll cover together:
Week 1 – Premise & Logline
We pressure-test your idea. Is it really a TV show or is it a movie?
Why this show, why now, why you?
You’ll land on one idea and a clear, professional logline.
Week 2 – Characters & World
We build a cast and a world that can actually generate stories.
We figure out how these characters actually fit together
Week 3 – Structure & Outline
We break the episode.
You’ll learn how we think about Act 1 and Act 2 breaks, and you’ll build a 8–10 page outline you can write from.
Week 4 - Draft Sprint – Go write the script
Then, just like in a real writers’ room, you take the outline and go write the pilot over the next 1–2 weeks, with support and accountability.
Our first live session is on Saturday, January 24th at 10 AM Pacific.
