What’s the difference between a pilot, a put pilot, and a presentation?
A Pilot is just the first episode of what everyone hopes will be a successful television series. The network might shoot a handful of pilots and test them in front of a focus group. Maybe one or two of them will actually make it to air. How do they decide? It’s not necessarily the pilot that’s the best written on has the most famous star. It’s the pilot that they think will most likely connect with that network’s current audience or the audience that they hope to find. This is why good pilots often don’t make it to air, and iffy pilots do. Sometimes they feel that they don’t have the right show to pair it with. This, of course, is less of an issue when the show is sold to a streamer.
