Navigating a Hollywood career can be tricky. You’re only as good as your last job, and nothing is guaranteed. In this industry, job security looks like a 10 week option. Hopefully your option will get picked up. And hopefully, the show you’re writing for will get picked up for another season. If it doesn’t you’re out on your ass.
There really isn’t a standardized career path, but I can tell you the path that most of my colleagues have taken. And I can tell you how that path has changed over the years.
