Attention screenwriters!
I’m hosting another screenwriting challenge for people who already have a rough draft of their script, but need to give it another polish.
Screenwriting Challenge: From Rough Draft to Final Draft
It’s a 3 week accountability challenge. We’ll meet once a week for 3 weeks.
Each week, I’ll guide you with a different aspect of your screenplay.
We’re offering two membership tiers, so that money isn’t an obstacle for you
Tier 1
General Admission: You get to listen to all the lectures and will receive all the downloads and assignments.
Tier 2
VIP: Same as General Admission, but afterwards you’ll be invited to a special hour long, limited seating VIP session with me. I’ll answer as many of your questions that I can, time permitting. If you’re facing a specific issue with your script, now’s your chance for professional help.
Here’s what I’ll be covering:
Week 1 · Fundamentals
Fix the Foundation Before You Rewrite the Walls
Before you polish dialogue or tweak scenes, you need to know if your story actually works.
This week, you’ll clarify what your script is really about (one theme, not five), separate story from backstory, define your hero, goal, obstacle, and stakes, and identify scenes that don’t belong. If the structure is weak, this is where you fix it.
Week 2 · Characters
Make Every Character Earn Their Screen Time
You’ll define the function of every character in relation to your hero, eliminate redundancy, and clarify what your protagonist wants versus what they really want.
This week sharpens the push-pull dynamics that create real conflict so your story feels intentional, not accidental.
Week 3 · Dialogue and Table Reads
Turn a Good Draft Into a Watchable Script
This is where the polish happens.
You’ll tighten dialogue, eliminate clichés, strengthen emotional beats so they land, and learn how to run a table read to identify what drags. Every line, scene, and transition gets pressure-tested so your script feels alive, not written.
The first session is this Saturday, March 14. 10 am pacific time.
