One of the most common questions I’m asked is, “Do I have to move to Hollywood in order to make it as a screenwriter?”

The answer is NO, but you’re making a hard task even harder. It’s like boxing with one hand tied behind your back. Can it be done? Sure. But if you’ve got two hands, why wouldn’t you use them both?

I get it. You don’t want to come to Hollywood. You have roots established where you are. Friends, family, a support system. Not to mention, the cost of living in Los Angeles is high.

But if you don’t want to come to Hollywood, then you’re asking Hollywood to come to you. That’s a big ask, but it can be done.
